Water Testing in Phoenix, Done at Your Kitchen Tap

We come to your home, test the water you actually drink and shower in, and walk you through every reading. The test is free and carries zero obligation. If a system would help, you get the scope and price in writing first.

Numbers first, equipment talk later

Usually something prompts the call. Crusty faucets. Spotted glasses. Water that smells a bit like a pool. Testing turns those hunches into readings you can act on.

At your tap we read hardness, total dissolved solids, chlorine and pH. Hard water is common around Phoenix, so scale tends to be the main fight. Not every time, though. For some homes the real complaint is taste, and a softener would do nothing for that.

Good numbers get a plain answer: you don't need anything. If the readings point to whole-home filtration, a water softener or reverse osmosis, we tell you which one, why, and write down what it would involve.

What we check at your tap

Hardness

This is the mineral load, read in grains per gallon. It's the figure behind scale inside your water heater, on shower glass and around faucet bases.

Total dissolved solids

TDS is a rough total of everything dissolved in the water. It tells us whether a reverse osmosis unit under the sink would change how your water tastes.

Chlorine and pH

Chlorine is behind most taste and odor gripes. pH hints at how your water treats pipes and fixtures over time.

You see every result

Each test runs right in front of you. We read off the number and say what it means without jargon.

An honest answer

It comes down to three outcomes: leave it alone, make a small change, or put in a system. We won't push gear the readings don't call for.

Scope on paper, if you ask

When a system fits, we write out the equipment, where it would sit and what drives the price. The paper stays with you while you think it over.

When a test is worth your time

  • Chalky buildup on fixtures

Hard white rings on aerators and shower heads are minerals left behind as water dries. A hardness reading shows how heavy that load is.

  • Cloudy glasses after a wash

Spots that come back every dishwasher cycle almost always trace to hard water. Rinse aid hides it but doesn't fix it.

  • Your water tastes like a pool

City water carries chlorine on purpose. A reading tells us whether carbon filtration would take care of the taste.

  • Popping from the water heater

That rumble is often scale that has settled at the bottom of the tank. Knowing your hardness helps you slow it down.

  • New house, unknown water

After a move, a baseline test costs you nothing and tells you where things stand before you spend a dime on equipment.

How the test visit goes

  1. 1

You call, we set a time

Tell us what you have noticed. We pick a time that works for you.

  2. 2

    We test at your tap

We draw water from the kitchen sink and, if it helps, an outside spigot. The tests take a short while and you can watch.

  3. 3

    We go over the numbers

We explain each reading and what it means for your home. Ask anything.

  4. 4

Written quote, only if it fits

If a system makes sense, we write out the scope and every pricing factor before any work. If not, we shake hands and go.

The test costs nothing. These things set a system price.

The test is free, and you're under zero obligation once it's done. Learning what's in your water shouldn't come with a bill. If you decide on a system later, a few factors decide the price, and each one goes on paper before any work starts. Install is included with our water treatment systems.

What the test shows
Very hard water or strong taste issues may need a larger or multi-stage system. Mild readings may call for very little.
Your household's water use
Extra bathrooms and extra people send more water through the system, and that sets the tank and filter size.
Where the system goes
A garage that already has a softener loop is the simplest job. Without a loop, or with a tight space, more plumbing is needed.
Which equipment you pick
A softener alone, a softener plus filtration, or a reverse osmosis unit added at the kitchen sink each carry a different price. Every piece is its own line on the quote.

Questions people ask about the test

Something not covered here? (480) 470-7783

Is there a catch with the free test?

No catch. It costs nothing and you owe us nothing afterward. We'd rather you learn your numbers and skip buying than end up with equipment you don't need.

How long will you be at my house?

Most visits wrap up in under an hour. The tests are fast. The rest of the time goes to explaining the readings and answering your questions.

Can you check for lead?

Our tap test covers hardness, dissolved solids, chlorine and pH. Lead has to go to an outside lab to get an accurate number. If your home's age or plumbing makes lead a fair worry, we'll tell you and explain how a lab test works.

Does every Phoenix home need a softener?

No. Hard water is common here, but how much it matters depends on your home and how you use your water. The hardness number helps you decide, and some people do fine with filtration or a sink unit alone.

What if I go ahead with a system?

First you get a written quote listing every part and price factor. Install is included with our water treatment systems, and the equipment valves come with a 5-year warranty. Nothing starts until you've read the quote and said yes.
